Urban development on a whole new level!
The new Masthugget district is emerging! Here, a multifaceted unique building is being designed with mixed activities in the form of condominiums, rental apartments, offices and retail in the same building – part of the vision for the Masthuggskajen detailed plan.
The project is being carried out as a three-dimensional real estate formation, where Riksbyggen and Elof Hansson Fastigheter are the developers, with Skanska as contractor and protek as project manager. On the ground floor, a restaurant and shops will take place and contribute to a vibrant atmosphere that promotes community and safety. Towards the new Masthuggsparken, outdoor seating is planned with sun from morning to evening. Rental apartments and condominiums are interwoven with office and business space, creating a genuine mixed city where residents and businesses complement each other.
The 18-storey façade is not only aesthetically pleasing – it is also a pioneer. The Parkside will be Sweden’s tallest building with recycled brick, which clearly reduces carbon emissions compared to newly produced brick. The social sustainability perspective is worth highlighting, where combining different activities and forms of housing contributes to security and opportunities for meetings between people.
