HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
protek strives to have a safe workplace with a good physical and psychosocial environment where
the core value of ‘commitment and competence through openness and joy’ is ever present.
We shall, in consultation and participation with both workers and their representatives, maintain and
developing a good working environment by
– Comply with laws and other requirements.
– Follow the Public Health Agency, MSB and government restrictions at
pandemics and community emergencies.
– Preventing ill health, incidents and accidents
– Conduct risk assessments in case of changes and new situations.
– All employees work for a safe workplace with the right safety equipment and according to given
procedures and instructions.
– Addressing uneven occupancy rates
– Combating bullying and harassment.
– Preventing the emergence of alcohol and drug abuse.
– Actively help the person with substance abuse problems.
– Work on prevention and continuous improvement.
– Strive not to email outside office hours both internally and externally, instead use
delay function.
– Announce that the office is closed for vacation to mark that our employees can also

COMPANY POLICIES TO PREVENT THE EMERGENCE OF ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE
Part of the health and safety policy
proteks is committed to creating a good and safe working environment free from alcohol and drugs.
If an employee still experiences problems caused by an addiction disorder, protek offers support and
help in the form of rehabilitation.
To achieve this, the following guidelines apply:
– You are not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during working hours.
The alcohol ban is
except on occasions decided by the employer, examples of such events are
joint events, summer parties, etc.
– The use of alcohol outside working hours must not affect the safety and quality of work.
– Any use of drugs and medicines that is not medically justified is a breach of law and not
compatible with employment with the protek; the same applies to any other handling or holding,
within or outside the workplace, of such preparations.
– The employer is prepared to provide help and support to the employee who is unable to comply
to these rules, with the aim of getting rid of the abuse and retaining the employee.
– Each manager is responsible for ensuring that these guidelines are known and applied by staff,
sub-consultants and similar contractors.
– Each employee has a co-worker responsibility to apply and respect these guidelines.
– All staff, regardless of their position, shall be informed of these guidelines upon recruitment.
– That these guidelines and their action plan are included as part of the systematic
work environment management.
In these regulations, systematic work environment management means
the employer’s efforts to investigate, implement and monitor activities in a
in such a way as to prevent ill health and accidents at work and to ensure a satisfactory working environment
is achieved.

WHITTIER BLOWING
Since December 17, 2021, Sweden has a new whistleblowing law. Here you can make a whistleblowing report to protek. This matter will be handled by HR functions and management at protek. Depending on the nature of the case, we will get back to you within 2 months. We may also get back to you with questions, clarifications and information regarding the reported case earlier than that. To be protected by the Whistleblowing Act, there must be a public interest in what you report. It can be about things that are illegal, unethical or inappropriate. You should also assume that what you are blowing the whistle on is true and is work-related. In addition to protek employees, several others are also protected under the Whistleblowers Act.
